Practicing gratefulness

In my life, I have come across some people who complain each and everything on daily basis. Some people use complaining as tactic to divert attention like the topper always keeps on telling how he or she is under prepared for the test. But, many people are actually become hopeless in present condition and keeps on complaining. Such people often go negative and slowly other people also start keeping distance for his or her negative views. It has been a problem for many people. They become so hopeless that they stop trying.  Most of the time, they blame others for their misfortune or go astray. It is not true. Others are not at all worried about you and your welfare and let alone plotting invisible conspiracies.

In order to come out from such situation, one has to practice gratefulness. In Christianity, before having a meal, one prays and thanks god for the food on the plate. This is one form of practicing gratefulness. In most of the religions, the great teachings are ingrained to minds of devotees as a ritual so that it becomes a normal day to day practice. Now, we can adopt anything which is the best for us from anywhere. Practicing gratefulness is such a novel practice which can be included in our day to day life for peace of mind. Every day, one can definitely find at least five reasons to be grateful such as

  1.       I am grateful for my good health
  2. I am grateful that I woke up early in the morning and did my morning exercise.
  3. I am grateful that I have a phenomenal day.
  4. I am grateful that I have good company in my life.
  5. I am grateful that I am limited my spending as per budget for today.

Similarly, you can find numerous such reasons. Personally, I have a feeling that it keeps you grounded and appreciate life in a better manner. You feel that you are mentally and physically able and there is always a tomorrow to lead a good life.  It helps release a lot pressure from your head. If you are in despair, one needs to count on the blessings bestowed by the almighty and keep on going. So, one need not be very harsh to himself or herself. Life is all about moving on.
