Why do you hide?

We hide things all the time. We tell lies to cover up things and get into trouble or a shameful situation. The first thing is why you need to hide day to day trivial things as your top secrets. If you have problems do admit them. If you do not want to share, I think you should just say, "I do not want to share." This will just blink red lights to the trespassers. Anyway, people ask it because they just want to ask. There is no deeper concern or lighter anything. It is just it is. It is the norm in society. If it can be told, it should be told. It just stops the conversation.

Many a time, people are concerned. Many a time, people can help you by their experiences. It is not that people are after you. You are not that very important person as you perceive and treat yourself; you are an ordinary person having the same problems as others. When you open up, they open up. It is just it. Mingle with people. Accept them as they are.

When you share things as brutally as they are, people stop asking anyway. You make your own brand among them: “The one who speaks things brutally”. People like to hear fairy tales. But life is just the opposite. You show people the bitter things as they should be shown, which others do not feel like showing. It is also important.

People do all kinds of atrocities while they are in power.  Even a power broker wields power over others and does all they can.

Well, things change, and situations change. People should not have the slightest misunderstanding that things will never change.  Big people have eaten dust in the past due to their nonchalant behaviour, and it will happen to others also who behave in the same way.

People just forget things or have no knowledge whatsoever due to illiteracy.   If you stop reading, you become uneducated, and there is no doubt about that because change is inevitable. Whatever is relevant in the past is no longer in favour right now.

People miss that or are blinded by power or just poor judgement. Whenever you have to face downfall, you just put yourself in a cocoon and ignore warning signs. Who is going to warn you because you just repel everyone and do not listen? One needs to have an open mind. Whenever there is feedback, one needs to work on it. Sometimes it may be a trivial one, but still you should ponder over it. Things go wrong in seconds.

Accountability

With power comes accountability. People like to enjoy fruits of power such as delegating works to others and take central space to advance his or her aura. This is common in most of the individuals. With slightest power, they show their colours and leave colours like cheap clothes.

There are people who take accountability of their work and do things keeping that in mind. These people are the best in my opinion because they are truthful. On the other hand, others are just advancing their enhancing interests. Yes, it is ok to advance one’s interest. But, there should be a limit. People get greedy and stretch it like bubble gum. After some time, one has to learn satiate him or herself and do the needful. This is the righteous thing to do.

You might think that it is not my job but someday someone has to take accountability of their work and do the right thing. You cannot keep on passing on the buck till the day it affects you in return knowingly or unknowingly. Somebody has to do it anyway and why not it is you today?

People do not want to retire

These days, people do not want to retire. They want to keep on working. So, they seek extensions even after retirement by hook or crook. Well, that could be due to either financial distress or lack of social life.

In good days, people make mistakes and do not save and ultimately end up extending retirement age. Things do not settle, and problems keep coming. So, retirement stalls. When age advances, health deteriorates. Someone may put up a big smile and brush it off as “age is just a number” or “sixty is the new twenty’. Frankly speaking, it is generally not true for everyone. By the time you turn fifty, most of the people will likely have lifestyle diseases anyway because the jobs these days are mostly sedentary. Above all, humans are lazy and hardly tend to go outdoors and work out rather than sitting on the couch and devouring food. At the end of the day, it does not feel nice to work.

People have ambitions. While in jobs, people shift. Finally, they are cut off from our friends and family. While working, people do not long to have these companies because these relationships are taxing and drain your energy. But one has to keep in mind that these relationships keep one grounded in society. At the end of the day, people end up lonely and have no one to turn to after retirement. The office was all his life. It is convenient, but it is not wholesome.

So, people often tend to get attached to the workplace. So, they seek undue extensions many times. Well, there may be exceptionally good people whose expertise is needed at any cost. But, people who tend to seek extensions do not seem to justify. For juniors, these people are now new obstacles. The people who were once warm and cordial will no longer be the same. Their dealings will be cold. In many instances, things get so messy that people conspire to oust them in a very bad manner. Everything has an expiry date, and so is the job. Once the date approaches, one has to move on to better avenues in a dignified way.
