Are you ready to relocate? ( Training & Placement on Wednesdays: 23)

(Source: pexels.com)

Are you ready to relocate? In job interviews, you will probably hear that question more often. Whenever the interviewer asks this question, he wants to ask whether you are ready to move to the location where the firm is located or not. Suppose you appear in campus placement in a college situated in Delhi and your company is located in Banglore. There is no other option but to move to the location. In that case, the interviewer asks you that question. Many students do not understand this and say no upfront. It is a big mistake. How can anyone do the job if you do not go to the location? So, your ‘no’ directly translates to rejection.

In Assam, we have a few options in terms of employment for high-level engineering jobs. Students have to look for work in other states. Many students like to prepare for competitive exams like APSC and do coaching after an engineering degree in the hope of staying. As jobs are fewer, one has to move out of the comfort zone and search for better prospects. Otherwise, one has to be satisfied with the job profiles not meant for engineering graduates. It is ok if someone becomes happy and has found purpose in life.
