CO1:Understanding the basics of stress, principal stresses & directions and
derivation of stress tensor, state of stress at a point, plane stress
CO2:Understanding strain & its types, rectangular strain components & plane
state of strain, principal axes of strain, polar coordinates at a point
CO3:Understanding energy method and its determination by various methods
CO4:Understanding torsion and its application of concept in prismatic bars, circular
& elliptical bars, rectangular bars etc.
CO5: Determiningstress in various axisymmetric problems like thick wall, rotating disc, disk of
variable thicknesses.
