Nowadays, when I look around, most of the students are either obese or have some kind of health issues. In my time, I used to be obese due to my faulty food habits. It continued to my mid-thirties, and then it hit bottom in terms of my health even if, I was running daily. I could not manage my weight and swelling like anything. Later on, I developed uncontrollable sugar levels in my blood. It took around two and half years to become normal, and I had to figure out what to eat and what not to eat in what quantity. Since then, I have been doing fine. If you see, in my case, the health issue hit me in the mid-thirties, and now I am seeing students getting health issues in their teens. Somehow, it is linked to unhealthy eating habits like fast food, packaged foods, and highly processed foods like bakery products.
In those years, I used to have ideas about general improving health. There are lots of good physicians who are offering good advice through YouTube channels by Dr. Eric Berg and Dr. Sten Berg. I spent a good amount of time watching their videos. These videos helped me to plan my diet in an order which was suitable for me. Gradually, my health improved. Later on, I read books by Jessie Inchauspe’s book called ‘Glucose Revolution’ and Dr. Sarin’s ‘Own Your Body’. These are advanced-level books.
During those days, I could not work to my full potential. Therefore, having good health is very important. One should include some exercise sessions in his or her daily routine. A good physique also helps you leave a good impression on interviews. Obese people are often looked down upon with suspicion, and perceived as lazy.
