This is the entrance exam season in India. You have NEET, JEE, CAT, MAT etc. Students in large number appear in the exams. When I see the results in newspapers, it is evident that students from middle class and poor families are doing great in large numbers. On the other hand, students from well off families doing very poorly. Some of the parents are in very high posts and their children are not able to perform at all. This is not like that there is no guidance from parents, it is the hunger that is lacking in them. The affluence and privileges make people soft. Hunger to be the best is much needed in every field. Once you become complacent with your current situation, you cannot grow more. If you do not grow, you will be trampled by this ruthless world.

Getting The Best Out Of A Teacher In Engineering College

India is a poor country or I can say developing country. Our organizations are running at with very low funding. This is not like that the government wants it like this way. We have so many things going on at a same time we cannot focus. It is hard. Then there is geopolitics. One country never allows another to go on the top. It is like human nature. Still, we have to continue. Now, students have to understand that the teachers are overworked; so many administrative, research and academic pressure one cannot imagine. Then, one must know that it is one of the lowest paying jobs since the time immemorial. When have you heard a rich teacher? There was never one and will never one in future you. People choose it for the love of the profession.  It will be like this in coming years also. In our days, though we studied in engineering college, we thought them as teachers and not as engineers. How foolish to think that.  It takes time to build this understanding. Moreover, years of administrative, academic pressure and family pressure, one becomes overwhelmed and keeps on doing as the things come by. There is hardly any energy for any innovative thinking. This is not as gloomy as it seems. There is always some spark left and hunger to do good. Everyone has it. There is something good in every one which is pure and serene. If you can approach a teacher in engineering college, he will try to help. Sometimes, you have to jolt the old tree to get the ripe fruits from it.

Many a time in life, we do not get admission in the college what we want. Sometimes there is a lot of disparity and sometimes there is a little bit of difference between what we have desired and what we have.  The college might be a new one trying to make a mark. In such case, one should look for faculty profile. If they are able then there should be no problem. Most people are generally happy to help but we do not want to take help. How many times have we asked for help in a certain problem? Nil, right. You have to be positive and do your job as a student without sulking.

I have seen students complaining of not getting what they desired. We need to keep in mind that the college education will be common to all and a standardized process. No college in the world can give a customized education. Only a private tutor may be able to do so. If you are interested really in a subject, you have to go alone at first in that direction because it is your only interest. Other classmates may have hundreds other goals and won’t stand with you. A student with a degree means that the student has basic knowledge of the certain field and it is a great filter for higher education or job application. If you want job in a certain sector, you have to push yourself to the last mile to attract an employer for picking you up.  Hence, you have to learn the things of their trade on your own by taking extra courses. Your college may not provide you that knowledge but there is internet and above all Chat GPT now a days to teach you those things in a custom way. The only thing you need is the willingness to learn.
