When I was studying in college, campus placement took place. Companies like TCS, Vedanta, Mahindra Tech, etc. visited the college campus. We all appeared for written test, group discussion, and personal interviews. I always wanted to know the qualities which helped the students to get placed. Now, as a teaching professional and training placement coordinator for 5 years, I have observed the interviews and students that have been placed. The qualities are given below
(1) Sound Technical knowledge: Sound technical knowledge gives confidence. A confident guy can crack any interview.
(2) Communication skill: One should communicate well in English and Hindi. Who is a good communicator? A person having sound knowledge can be a good communicator. One should have good command over English.
(3) Body language: Body language tells about your personality. You should develop a good posture to look confident.
(4) Leadership quality: People look for a leader in you during an interview. In an organization, you have to manage men and resources. Only a true leader can command. How can you groom yourself as a leader? One should take part in extracurricular activities, sports, events to develop leadership qualities.
(5) Dressing sense: During interviews, one has
to maintain a good dressing sense to look smart. A formal dress should be
always worn during an interview.
