Being useful

You invest some money in something; you expect a return. This is our normal tendency. We understand it well in monetary terms, but it is also true in terms of education.

Many a time, we learn something; we invest our time, effort and money and do not see its immediate effect, and we tend to believe it is a waste. It is not. It comes out to be handy anyway in some circumstance. This is in a vague sense. The right approach, which I think is useful, is to focus on your area of concern.  Learn things, invest time and invest some portion of your capital. Think of it as a personal R & D cost. When you do this kind of investment, you will reap fruits during your idle or unproductive time. Otherwise, it would have been an utter waste.

There is no template or flowchart to follow. You have to find your own way out. Our lives are different, and so the ways will be different. The core goal is that when you are engaged in work or duty which you think is totally useless yet has to be done, but you still want to make great use of the time, then you have to invest at times to keep reaping fruits in your idle time.
