When you join an organization, you are excited and full of ideas. Then, realism sinks in and comes to know the actual working environment of the organization and the people in it. Sometimes, people are great and sometimes mean. The organization makes the character of the people. If it is like dogs eat dogs, you are doomed. In the organization, there will be cutthroat competition and lots of backstabbing. It is the real world. Often, people are not nice because everyone is in survival mode. So, people try to do so by hook or crook. It is where people learn all the cunningness to get ahead.
If somebody sees you as a competitor, they gang up against you and try to pull you down. People will push you to the corner and fill the higher authorities with all the filth that you cannot imagine. Sooner or later, people learn to survive.
First, people will put you in a bad place and ask for your opinion about it in your face. In such situations, many people just have outbursts and speak the unspeakable. It is something everyone is expecting. Certain people will just put words in bosses’ ears. Powerful people like to hear things from subordinates. Then there is the environment of “Oil/buttering" in organizations to get promoted. You will find people sitting in the Bosses’ cabin with all those filth for hours and hours. Many people do not think much and take those unverified words as the truth.
One cannot expect everyone to be emotionally intelligent. It will take 50 more years to be at such a level that everyone in places all around the world is emotionally intelligent. So, controlling emotion and not reacting is in your hands. The less you react; the less fuel goes to the fire. After some time, people pick up another person. Till then, you have to wait patiently.
Many a time, people are hurt due to such encounters. One should try to forget all the happenings. Carrying the ill feelings hurts no one except you. Many people try to seek revenge. This is also not good because it starts the process of action and counteraction. Suppose someone is so badly after you, one day or another day he might end up doing something silly. At the end of the day, one has to remember that he or she is there for earning not for anything else. If money is good, it should not be a problem. Eventually, one overcomes everything; good or bad alike. It's just time.
