Our personalities are shaped by our surroundings and the experiences we have had so far. Some people are very annoying and difficult to work with. People can be irritating in many ways; some talk behind backs, some are habitual naysayers, some cannot keep a word, some are super selfish, and some are not reliable at all. These are masks to ward off an extra load. Though one can enjoy it in the short term, it has negative effects in the long term. People become annoyed because of such pushback.

Soon, people start disassociating from such persons. Over the period, the impression of the person is portrayed such that he will be good for nothing. When you need good projects for career advancement, you will find difficulty because people trust you no more. It has been broken by you over the years.

You become stagnant. Then, word travels faster than you think, and there is no place to switch, either.  Therefore, one has to keep working slowly and steadily. Everyone sees through your deception.

Humans are a seeking organism. It always finds ways to get the job done in a shortcut. Though a new employee does not have this luxury, it sets in the one’s system once he or she becomes quite acquainted with the surroundings.

This is where the downfall lies. The everlasting lust for getting work done by others and wasting time in leisure sets the foundation of the perfect recipe of the comedy of errors. When somebody spends a good amount of time, they become complacent and slow. Moreover, you create situations or enter into domestic responsibilities in such a way that you depend on others.

Many times, the people from whom you seek help may have different working styles, ideologies, biases and all the bad things at their disposal, which always come into play in the way they operate. Nobody has escaped their biases. It is rooted deeper into their minds.

Even if they like you, these biases come into play whenever they operate on your behalf. Further, people become accustomed to your working style over time. People are very sensitive and pick up on anything that is not coming from you. It may be some kind of sixth sense. Anyhow, it raises an alarm and shakes the whole system. You will see people complaining because they expect a certain pattern from you. It, somehow, becomes a part of their life.

When you get your critical work done by others, they get alarmed because it shakes their world. Many a time, people go to higher authorities regarding such matters. One should keep in mind that one gets paid for the critical works which he or she performs. One should not blindly rely upon others if one happens to rely on others. You can get your work done if you have that privilege, but you are to closely monitor the outcomes as per your style. Otherwise, people do revolt, and it will not be good at all.

We do not try to give value to our words. Most of the time, people think tactically and speak useless things, thinking nobody is going to remember, out of slyness, pretentious behaviour, jealousy, and the like. But people do remember because it affects them positively or negatively. Most of the time, we tend to be cunning like a fox and try to divert attention or deceive. Well, society has taught us these things. We see things and learn. Most of the time, good things are forgotten first and despicable things stay. Then, dark things attract people more.

With time, all those things combine and make an image of you that cannot be trusted or taken seriously. Later on, people just pretend to listen to you and ignore you behind your back. The value of your word keeps degrading. Therefore, if you do not know something simply do not pretend to know and learn it later on rather than justifying your false pretence with silly arguments. People are smart. You are fooling only yourself by such behaviour.

Then, some people keep on promising and fail to deliver, they are unreliable. With each failed promise, they tarnish their image bit by bit. After some time, people avoid them. Though you will not see it directly, you will feel that things are not right. In an office setting, you will feel that you are getting less burden these days. You will be elated but things will turn sour soon. In a short time, you will be ignored by the system.  Once you stop getting involved in things, you lose the chance to get promoted. To put it simply, show your work and get ahead in life.
