To enroll in a good institute, you must have
GATE. Once you have GATE, the financial constraint is solved for at least 4
years. You get good scholarship. Then, every organization or university has
their own entrance exam. UGC has made it mandatory. Students have to appear. So,
one needs to prepare for it. Generally, questions are set inhouse keeping in
mind the the program to be enrolled in. The questions are of basic nature of
the relevant field. Generally, it should be easy to moderate level since it is
more or less formality in case of many state universities where student enrollment
rate is low. In case of programs which are in top demand, one may have to
prepare keeping in mind the completion. After, entrance test, there is an
interview in which one has to appear before a panel. The panel decides the candidates.
