What did Sunfox teach me?

Sunfox is a startup that makes medical diagnostic devices. Currently, they manufacture a portable ECG machine. The device is super cheap and gives you an idea about your heart health. Those who have co-morbidities relating to the heart can check it out. The device is being sold on their website and on Amazon. They went to Shark Tank to raise money, which was broadcasted on Sony TV. Their pitch for funding is still lying on the YouTube channel. The clip got a lot of attention, and recently, a piece of news came out. Their sales have increased by 40%. That is great. They got a massive exposure and then cracked it.

 Now, why am I saying so much about this startup? I found the pitch of the owners very fascinating. When you watch the pitch, the judges ask thoughtful questions. The questions seemed like the HR interview questions. The owners remained calm and extraordinarily answered them. One judge asked him that the machine might eat up the doctors' commission and won't advise it to use. Then, one of the owners answered it very nicely. He said that the machine would indicate to the user his heart health and advise him to see a doctor if there was any problem. In a way, it will increase the business of the doctors by increasing the footfall. The doctors should not shy away from advising people to use it. Moreover, the portable machine can give an indicative report only. For better information, one has to visit a professional with a precision machine. Anyway, I have learned a lot about entrepreneurship by watching the Shark Tank and reading Peter Thiel's Zero to One book. If someone is interested in startups, then they should read it. Besides, it was an eye-opener in every sense.

 

The owner's reply has owned my heart because one has to be real positive while answering any HR questions during an interview. The students can also learn the technique. In the YouTube series Aspirants also, the protagonist discovers the importance of responding positively. In one scene, his mentor tells him to answer in that manner.
